I cannot believe that I forgot to tell you guys that I got a new computer maybe a month ago...

Why am I such a procrastinator?! This is the kind of trait that sets people back. Anyway I have to say that this is the best computer I have ever recieved! I will admit that it is a PC, but here's the catch--it works like a Mac, except that it has games

And...here's something even better! It came with all this awesome software including Adobe Photoshop and *drum roll please* WINDOWS 7!!! Windows 7, that's right you peoples, you read right. This is some extremely awesome hackin' software (

excuse me for ma language I was watching a bunch of Fred vids last night) The funny thing is that since we bought it on HBO the software hasn't even been released to the public yet! Also, the moniter itself is BIG. It's 20x12 inches! Thank you Dell
I finally finished one of my contest entries! This new one (see pic below) took a pretty long time, but I'm glad that I'm at least learning to take my time, so I'm very happy about that. You know what they say after all--Patience is a virtue, and in this case it also brings out better looking art in terms of progress, eh?

If you haven't read the artists comments for this piece this is what I said:

Oh...my...gosh...it's finally done!!!

This took quite a while to finish--for me at least (

) About a month's worth of work I should say

I was kinda pushing the envelope though with my yellow copic marker (Y19) and it ran out of ink along with my deep orange that I was using for shadow in usagi's hair!!!

I was able to order some ink refills and while I was at it some new supplies too. I was looking through two of my now favorite copic suppliers stores and found out some very interesting things that I think you should know if you want copics at the cheapest, most reasonable, and economically smart price! I will update soon in my journal about what I discovered

Materials: Prisma color premier black liners 005,01,03
copic sketch markers, ABC glitter stickers I bought at target
Time: roughly 35-40 hours" Unquote
Now you get to find out what I found out, unless you already found out what I found out that I thought found before you but you might've already found out what I that I already found out before you...? Anyway...
Since I had been saving for dilemmas like this (running out of ink on a deadline) I was able to efficiently buy what I wanted, but of course I wanted the most for my money. *flashback

I was looking through two of my favorite online copic suppliers (iCopic
[link] , and CarpeDiem
[link]) and I was trying to see which sellers had the best prices. After doing some calculations I soon figured out something interesting. First of all what I needed to buy was:
x1 Y19 Napoli Yellow Various Ink
x1 E97 Deep Orange Various Ink
x1 Copic Sketch Spare Nib-Super Brush (3 pieces)
x1 Copic Booster Needles (3 pieces) for Refilling marker w/various ink
At iCopic all Various Ink Refills were $5.62 each, Copic Boosters were $6.99, and Spare Nibs were $6.99. My purchase total (not including shipping): $25.22
At Carpe Diem all Various Ink Refills were $4.87 each, Copic Boosters were $4.25, and Spare Nibs were $4.76. My purchase total (not including shipping or tax: $18.75
You would think at first glance that my choice would be obvious when comparing both totals ( $25.22 at iCopic and $18.75 at Carpe Diem), but here's the catch!
When you include the shipping with iCopic's total (standard, $4.99,5-10 days): $30.21
When you include the shipping and tax with Carpe Diem (FedEX ground, $11.63, 2-5 days, and tax estimated 8%, $2.41): $32.79
After I made these conclusions I was surprised, but sure of my choice: iCopic. Although their prices are higher than Carpe Diem's, the shipping makes up for that! Because of this I've decided to use Carpe Diem only when I need my supplies within the next couple of days, my emergency outlet if you will. Even then though I might just use iCopic because while I was checking the shipping I found out that a Rush time delivery 2-5 days, for them is $8.99, whereas Carpe Diem's FedEX ground, also 2-5 days is $11.63, so I still get the better deal with iCopic!!!
I'm glad I was able to share that with you my fellow deviants, coupon clippers, and copic connoisseurs~
